Taking the first step
Your journey begins with a phone consultation. This consultation is no more than twenty minutes in duration, and is free of charge. Questions asked help determine which rooms you would like to organize, your current use of the space, and what you would like to accomplish within this space. We also request you send photographs of the space you want to organize, so we get an idea of the amount of “stuff” that resides in the area you want to transform. With this information we will work up an estimate of the hours required to complete the job.
If it would make you feel more comfortable
Depending on your proximity, Rhonda is able to come to your home/office for an in-person consultation. The in-home consultation gives us an even better idea of the work required to complete your job. It’s an opportunity for us to see your organizing situation first-hand. It usually takes about 30 minutes, during which Rhonda will ask about what’s working for you, what isn’t working, your current routines and habits and what you’d like to see change. She will take photos of the rooms/space to help determine the amount of time required to complete your transformation. The fee for the in-home consultation with Rhonda is $45.
Let’s get started
After we get to know each other, we will determine a time to begin your space transformation. Your complete attention and focus is required, so arrangements for child care, ringing phones and visitors will be made in advance of our arrival. Once the organizing session has started we will work through your space and assist in identifying items that you no longer need or want. Processing donation items to charities, and proper disposal of refuse is a bonus service we provide at no additional cost. When this process is complete, you will be left with the items that we will organize within your space.
Full service solution
We will assist you in deciding which, if any, organizing products and systems fit your needs once we determine what is staying in the space. We prefer to work with materials you already have and very rarely recommend purchasing more organizing gadgets. If you’re like a lot of people who crave order, you’ve amassed a large number of organizing products already. If not we can purchase these items on your behalf, or you can do so yourself before we begin the next session. Should the need for purchases arise, all incurred costs will be submitted for your approval before purchases are made by the professional organizer. We will work with you to ensure they meet your style, needs, and budget.
A place for everything
Finally, we will work to create a “home” for each of your items. The coaching work has many layers and you can decide how often you want to work, and for how long. By working together we will make your space more productive. It will look and feel calmer as well once we have finished this phase of the project. Working together in this phase, we will transform your space into an efficient, productive, and aesthetically pleasing environment. A space that functions with, and streamlines your daily lifestyle. Organizing is about learning the process of making decisions that will enrich your life. New physical and behavioral systems are created which foster long-term success.
